Osceola County Bank's Internal Liquidity
The OCTA is concerned for the financial viability of all taxpayers. Keeping down runaway taxes is one way we work for them. Sound banks with lendable funds play a critical role in taxpayer's viability too. Many banks have become addicted to loaning out all their deposits and then borrow money from the Federal Home Loan Board and the Fed Funds window to keep loaning out more. What happens if those sources (under pressure from the Chinese or Japanese central banks) are curtailed? Internal bank liquidity is then going to be important to borrowers and depositors alike. For a current report on the liquidity of the banks chartered in Osceola County and also operating in the county (less the US Bank), see here.
